Kota, previously known as Kotha, is a city located in the southeast of northern Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located about 240 kilometres (149 mi) south of the state capital, Jaipur, situated on the banks of Chambal River. Kota is a major coaching hub of the country for competitive examination preparations and has a number of engineering and medical coaching institutes.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (sawm), prayer, reflection and community. Fasting from dawn to sunset is fard (obligatory) for all adult Muslims who are able to carry out.
